Playspace mover tutorial4/23/2024 ![]() ![]() On linux, the driver installer does not enable multiple drivers in steamvr config, so it must be done manualy. ![]() The driver is also new, upgrade it as well! Known Issues: The format of the config files has changed, so recalibration of everything is necessary when upgrading. This guide will work for Oculus rift, rift S, Vive, Valve index, and Windows Mixed realityPlayspace mover. The app will guide you through the process of setting up the Playspace Mover. Then, follow these steps: Put on your Oculus Quest 2 headset and launch the Playspace Mover app. itll do more than just move your playspace though, be careful with it. Advanced Settings is an add-on for SteamVR and OpenVR. After your Quest 2 boots up, give a trigger on each controller a squeeze. Fixed distance from camera resetting when calibrating playspace Setting Up the Mover: To set up the Playspace Mover, you need to first ensure that your Oculus Quest 2 is set up and working properly. There is a ton of tutorials out for that on youtube. You can also use it to "climb" higher than normally possible in VR. ![]() I just switch avatars to a smaller or larger one, personally. When Im small I like that they crouch just to talk to me. Select any that suits your interest, and it should work. It is useful for when you are sitting down but want to appear full height, or for clipping through walls in certain games/areas. In OVR, you just go to bindings, back out of it, and then youll be given a wide selection of addons that have 'playspace mover' in the name. Playspace mover is a way of "Faking" your current height / width in VR.
